CMAT Syllabus
The CMAT Syllabus is divided into five sections
Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation (20 questions)
- Algebra: Number properties, polynomials, quadratic equations, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, averages, ratio and proportion, permutations and combinations
- Arithmetic: Speed and distance, time and work, mensuration, data interpretation
- Geometry: Plane geometry, coordinate geometry
- Statistics: Measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion
Logical Reasoning (20 questions)
- Analytical Reasoning: Identifying patterns, solving puzzles
- Cause and Effect: Understanding cause and effect relationships
- Non-Verbal Reasoning: Understanding and interpreting symbols, patterns, and diagrams
- Linear Arrangements: Arranging objects in a specific order based on given conditions
- Analogy Test: Identifying relationships between words or concepts
General Awareness (20 questions)
- Current Affairs: Recent national and international events, important personalities, awards and prizes
- Business and Economy: Basic concepts of business and economics, financial news, government policies
- General Knowledge: History, geography, science, literature, art and culture
Verbal Ability (20 questions)
- Grammar: Parts of speech, sentence structure, verb tenses, grammatical errors
- Vocabulary: Word meanings, synonyms, antonyms, idiomatic expressions
- Reading Comprehension: Understanding and interpreting written passages
- Critical Reasoning: Evaluating arguments, identifying assumptions and biases
- Verbal Reasoning: Identifying relationships between words or concepts
Innovation and Entrepreneurship (20 questions)
- Concept of Innovation: Understanding the concept of innovation, its importance in business
- Entrepreneurial Skills: Identifying entrepreneurial opportunities, developing business plans, managing risks
- Creativity and Problem-Solving: Solving problems creatively, generating new ideas
- Social Entrepreneurship: Understanding the concept of social entrepreneurship, identifying social problems, developing solutions
- Business Ethics: Understanding ethical principles in business, making ethical decisions
